Start Excel and open the spreadsheet you want to work with.
Make sure you have your data ready in the worksheet.

Click on the "Row" number on the left side of the screen just below the last row you want to freeze.
If you want to freeze the first three rows, click on the number 4 to select the entire fourth row.

Go to the ribbon at the top of Excel and click on the "View" tab.
This tab contains various options for how you view your spreadsheet.

Click on the "Freeze Panes" dropdown arrow.
This will display options to freeze rows or columns.

Click on "Freeze at Selection" (the first option).
This will freeze all rows above the row you selected in Step 2

Scroll down in your "Spreadsheet".
You should see that the rows you wanted to keep visible are now frozen and remain at the top while the rest of the data scrolls.
