Navigate to https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets and select or create the spreadsheet to modify.

Click the header for "Column A".

Press ctrl + shift + right to select all columns.

Click the "Arrow" icon.

Select "Resize Columns".

Enter the desired "Column" width.
